| Job Advert Summary | Rand Water is looking for a Senior Manager Project Controls at their Head Office in Glenvista, Johannesburg South. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the incumbent will provide leadership and management to the Project Controls Department in order to manage project controls through scheduling, cost management, quantity surveyor, documentation control and business assurance to achieve project objectives (time, cost, scope and quality) in line with policies and procedures, which support Rand Water’s strategic objectives. |
| Minimum Requirements | Formal business management or engineering qualification (B Tech, BSc / BEng degree)Project Management Qualification/Professional Certification (Diploma, Degree or Project Management Professional-PMP)10 – 15 years experience in Engineering / Project Management environmentAdvanced Management Programme will be an advantageComputer Literate – SAP, Project Portfolio Management Tools, MS Excel, MS Word MS PowerPoint |
| Primary Duties | Lead the development of that all projects schedules and master schedule per systemLead the effective structuring of projects in the SAP systemLead the collation of financial information for capital and operating budget preparation for the DivisionLead the project cost management systems including Investment Management structureFormulate/provide input into the budget processLead the monitoring and controlling of projects and programmesLead the quantity surveying to enable estimating and cost control, the tendering process and, after contract award, the commercial interface.Lead in implementing and enhancing the effective documentation managementLead compliance with Rand Water standards and as laid out in the Project Management ProceduresLead project management support services to recoverable projects within the Division.Resolve financial problems experienced by Customers.Build effective relations with all stakeholders to ensure an optimum operating environment of trust, integrity, reliability and partnershipIdentify internal and external Project Management service requirements |
