Application Instructions for Border Management Authority vacancies

Selection Process:
- Interviews and Assessments: Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews and technical assessments to evaluate professional and technical competencies.

- Background Checks: Employment suitability checks will include credit, criminal, citizenship, employment references, and qualification verifications.

Position Requirements:
Senior Manager: Employee Relations and Employee Wellness
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations, Labour Law, Organizational Psychology, or a relevant field at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA. NQF level 8 and above is advantageous.
- Experience: 8 years in employee relations, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Proven experience in health and wellness programs.
- Knowledge: Employment laws and regulations, integrated Employee Health and Wellness frameworks, HIV/AIDS and TB Management, COIDA processes, and special programs like Gender and Disability.
Senior Manager: ICT Operations
- Qualifications: Advanced Diploma/B-Degree (NQF Level 7) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. ITIL certification is required; COBIT certification and a postgraduate degree are advantageous.
- Experience: 8 years in ICT Operations, with 5 years in middle management.
- Knowledge: ICT operations, IT service management frameworks (ITIL), Border Management Authority Act, support troubleshooting, and incident management.
Responsibilities for Both Positions:
- Senior Manager: Employee Relations and Employee Wellness:
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee employee relations activities and wellness programs.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and wellness initiatives.
- Evaluate wellness program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Senior Manager: ICT Operations:
- Develop strategic plans for ICT operations.
- Optimize ICT services for business efficiency.
- Implement best practices for incident and problem management.
- Manage service desk functions and vendor relationships.
