| Job Description | The logistics department at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa currently has vacancies for vacation work. These vacancies are focusing on graduates throughout South Africa with a Degree or Diploma in: 1) Logistics 2) Operations Management 3) Supply Chain Vacation Work will be for 4 months (1 October 2022 to 31 January 2023) |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities | KEY OUTPUTS: The qualified student will be exposed to:Reading, writing and verbal communication within the distribution environmentRational and irrational numbers and number systemsReceiving of stock into the wholesale or retail outletMaintaining stock balancesSafe delivery of stock to customersLegal requirement, organization policies and procedures for the transportation of goodsAdministrative functions related to stock receipt and deliveryThe packing of stock in appropriately selected areasPicking of stockThe financial impact of stock on the businessPicking, packing and movement of stock to minimize damagesStock flow through the DC/WarehouseThe recording of stock movement on the stock management systemStock take proceduresThe wholesale & retail business environmentLegislation regarding Occupational Health and Safety and applicable safety procedures in the workplaceAppropriate actions to be taken with regards to hazards and emergency situationsMaintaining of Internal and external housekeeping standardsMaintaining of Customer service and satisfaction levels |
| Skills, Experience & Education | QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCEMinimum MatricIn progress or completed Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Operations Management or Supply Chain would be an added advantagePreference will be given to valid holder of a Forklift licenseResides within the operational area is a requirementWilling to work overtime and over weekends when operationally required. This role will be a 6-day work weekAttention to detailAbility to interact and work effectively in teamsSelf-MotivatedPunctualClear criminal record |
