Job Description:
Our Talent Team seeks an efficient Warehouse Controller with exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Vector Logistics team in Ethekwini. The role entails overseeing safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, ensuring customer service levels are met while reducing costs.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Warehouse/Logistics Management
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- 4-6 years’ warehouse experience, with 3 years in a Supervisory/Team Leader role
- Knowledge and experience with Systems (SAP MM and BW), MS Office skills required Grade 12 requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy Execution:
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, and transport management for integrated supply chain benefits and strategic target achievement
- Drive improvements in VCS/PBCS warehouse operations for efficiency gains
- Implement best operating practices and standardized procedures throughout the warehouse
Operations Management:
- Control and monitor VCS/PBCS inventory levels and replenishment processes
- Maintain warehouse physical condition and plan new design layouts
- Manage warehouse operational requirements and cost-reducing strategies
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping and proper arrangement of goods
Warehouse Administration Management:
- Oversee warehouse administration, including accurate and prompt processing of goods receipting and issuing documents
- Maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems
Warehouse Maintenance Management:
- Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance of warehouse equipment
Customer Service Level Management:
- Resolve issues related to damaged or short stock
Risk Management:
- Ensure ISO compliance, health and safety, and food safety throughout the warehouse
- Conduct daily health and risk compliance inspections
- Ensure warehouse compliance with legislation, regulations, and company policies
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents through security procedures
