Job Advert SummaryRand Water is currently looking for a Management Support and Administration Manager at their Head Offices in Glenvista, Johannesburg South to provide professional and management support services to the Integration, Monitoring and Evaluation (IME) Unit, including the following: Budget Process Co-ordination and ongoing management reporting; Business Plan co-ordination; Performance Management within the IME Unit; Management of compliance issues; Productivity and Efficiency issue identification; Secretariat and administration services for the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit in BWS.
Minimum Requirements At least a 3-year qualification (NQF 7) in Business Management or Business Administration.A formal qualification in public and development sector monitoring and evaluation would be advantageous.4 years proven business management or business administration experienceGood knowledge of the national and international water sectorGood knowledge on the policies and strategy issues related to the provision of bulk water servicesExperience in working with the National Water Department and LocaI Government.Good computer skills
Primary DutiesProvide and support management with business plan processCo-ordinate input and produce overall plan for approvalCo-ordinate and facilitate detailed budget preparationMonitor budget and investigate variancesReport on variances and recommend actions to resolveMonthly reporting of budget against actualsPrepare monthly management accountsPrepare variance reporting statementsProvide project financing and progress reportsManage and coordinate the portfolio of evidence for effective performance management of the IME UnitPrepare performance reports for the IME Unit, as required by the Office of the COOCo-ordinate with the office of the COO to resolve any audit and compliance issues on behalf of the IME UnitIdentify opportunities and prepare proposals for approvalImplement agreed projectsSupport IME staff in meeting agreed requirementsProvide secretariat, general and technical administration services to meet the needs associated with the integration, monitoring and evaluation function in BWS
KnowledgeKnowledge in business and administrative management.Good knowledge of techniques for planning, executing, monitoring and controlling programs.A strong grasp of compliance issues and the policy environment.
SkillsThe ability to produce good quality reports timeously.The ability to clearly articulate and communicate key messages about the work and performance of BWS on a high level.Good Interpersonal skills.Excellent co-ordination and facilitation skills, to work effectively in a multi- disciplinary sector and with various stakeholders.
