An eCommerce Merchandiser position has become available in our Central Buying Team. You will be responsible for the presentation and promotion of merchandise products, through strategically managing the online product assortment and ensuring that the products are showcased in an appealing manner for the Ackermans customer.

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Essential)
  • A relevant degree /qualification in Fashion, Textile Design /Clothing Production/ Product Development /Merchandising, or a related field

Knowledge required:

  • Knowledge of the retail merchandise cycle with regards to Buying and Product Attributing
  • Knowledge of buying principles & strategies
  • A comprehensive knowledge/understanding of SA’s retail clothing market, Customers and competitors, eCommerce Merchandiser

Skills required:

  • Latest Microsoft applications including advanced Excel-point competency
  • Ability to work in multiple in-house systems
  • Creative interpretation and articulation of data
  • A sound ability to analyse and work with data
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company
  • Merchant skills & a sound commercial mentality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
