EXTERNAL BURSARY ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE 2024 ACADEMIC YEAR – Eligibility, Requirements, and Application Process
Looking for a bursary to fund your studies in Disaster Risk Management, Disaster Risk Studies, or Fire Services Technology? We have an exciting opportunity for South African citizens who have been accepted, registered, or applied for an undergraduate, post-graduate, or masters full programme in these fields at a recognized Public Higher Institution of South Africa.
Eligibility Conditions:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have been accepted/ registered/ applied for an undergraduate/ post-graduate/ masters full programme in Disaster Risk Management, Disaster Risk Studies, or Fire Services Technology qualification at a recognized Public Higher Institution of South Africa
- Applications for Certificate courses or Ph.D. qualifications will NOT be considered for this funding
Bursary Coverage:
Our Bursary Programme will cover 100% of tuition fees, including registration and research allowance. Research allowances are capped at R11 000.00.

Successful applicants will be required to enter into a Bursary contract with the DCoG, which contains all general provisions related to the Disaster Risk Management, Disaster Risk Studies, or Fire Services Technology Bursary Programme.
