Are you eager to gain practical experience while receiving structured and institutional learning? Look no further than Sasol’s comprehensive learnership programs. These programs offer on-the-job training coupled with formal education, giving you the perfect foundation for a successful career.

Choose from a wide range of learnerships in various fields, including:

  • Chemical Plant Operations (also known as Process/Production)
  • Instrumentation and Control
  • Electrical Operations
  • Fitting
  • Turning
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding
  • Rigging

By participating in our learnerships, you open up a world of exciting career opportunities. Progress through different levels and unlock titles such as Artisan, Senior Artisan, Specialist Artisan, and Master Artisan. Alternatively, you can pursue roles as a Technician, Technologist, Engineer, Foreman, Area Manager, or Operations/Maintenance Manager. For those interested in learning and development, positions such as Learning Practitioner (LP), Principal LP, Learning Manager, and Senior Learning Manager are also available.

To be eligible for these learnerships, you must have completed a National Senior Certificate or equivalent, with a pass in Technical Mathematics/Mathematics SG/HG, English/Business English SG/HG, and Technical/Physical Science SG/HG.

The application process is straightforward.

However, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee automatic selection or an interview. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. You can only apply for one discipline.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
  3. If you pass the interview, you will undergo a psychometric assessment.
  4. Successful candidates will then undergo checks and verifications, including a Medical Fitness test, Security Clearance, and Qualification and other verifications.
  5. Based on the results and approval of the interview panel, successful candidates will be notified.
  6. Unsuccessful candidates will receive a regret notification.
  7. If you are not contacted within 60 days after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful. You can reapply for the next intake.
