Job DescriptionTo manage the supply of products within model stock through completing the production planning process as well as coordinating the supply of products from other plants and external suppliers to ensure customer demand is satisfied on time and in full.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform daily production/PD planning and scheduling Populate the weekly production plan by interpreting tactical plans for production planning.Optimise the production plan, ensuring that it is sequenced to minimise waste or cost and benefit efficienciesCommunicate with stakeholders regarding planning exceptions and deviations, risks and significant drops in production so that contingency plans can be made, and support provided. Review production performance (PVA) to assess production status and identify dropped volume. Check and ensure availability of raw materials for Production.  Plan Primary Distribution (PD) loads on the system and analyse stock availability considering inbound and outbound loads. Monitor sales figures to stay abreast of sales spikes and dropsTeam Management and AdministrationThe effective management of allocated team, to allow for the achievement of set goals and high-quality work output. Ensure the continuous development of allocated team to allow for the effective and efficient functioning of the planning division. Judgement and Decision Making The role operates under stringent rules, procedures and policies- governance and legal compliance is essential. The role has minimal latitude to determine priorities and task sequence. The plans are drafted by the Logistics Support Controller and signed off by the Supply Manager. The role can identify opportunities for optimisation from a plant planning perspective and will need to obtain sign off from the Supply Manager to effect any changes. 
Skills, Experience & EducationQualifications and Experience  Matric Relevant Tertiary Qualification  3 years relevant working experience (Logistics background or experience; DPR buying experience; or any planning experience) Competencies :KnowledgeApply knowledge An understanding of the CCBSA Manufacturing, Commercial and Logistics operating principles, processes and strategy Supply Chain Planning Model and Rules S&OP and Demand Planning Process Supply Chain Planning Model and Rules, including tactical planning  Planning Modelling Tool ERP processes relevant to Planning BWP’S for Role Supply Route Matrix (SRM) SkillsApplication of knowledge areas Good organising and planning skills Good verbal and written communication skills Conflict resolution skills Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and to build constructive relationships Software knowledge (outperform, advanced scheduling and SAP)
